AGEBORNE / LEGAL
Terms of Service
Sales and game licence terms · Version 2026-10-14
Ageborne is in development. Direct sales and pre-orders are not available at present. These terms set out the conditions for using our website and for direct purchases when sales open. The edition, supported platforms, system requirements and availability will be stated before you can buy.
1. Who we are and what these terms cover
Ageborne is developed and this website is operated by WAIO Frei Applications, Hüttisbühl 2771, 9642 Ebnat-Kappel, Switzerland; UID CHE-403.354.152. You can contact us at info@ageborne.com. Our full company information is in the imprint.
These terms cover the website, direct Ageborne activation-key orders and the game licence we provide with a lawful purchase. A purchase made directly from Steam, Epic or another authorised store is also subject to that store’s purchase terms. Mandatory consumer rights always apply; these terms do not take them away.
You must have the legal capacity, or any permission from a parent or guardian required by the law that applies to you, to enter into a purchase. Any applicable release age rating and store age restrictions must also be observed.
2. The game and development status
Ageborne is a colony survival game. The internal development build is playable through the Middle Ages; there is no public release date yet. Screenshots show development builds, and artwork and features may change during development.
Before buying, check the description of the edition actually offered, its development status, operating systems, minimum requirements, languages, activation region and any network or store account requirements. Future plans do not by themselves promise a release date, additional era or particular feature. This does not limit the features agreed for your purchase or the quality and updates required by consumer law.
3. Your order and Stripe Managed Payments
When direct sales open, choose an available activation platform and review the product, total and these terms before continuing to checkout. You can correct your selection before making the binding payment. Browsing the website or opening checkout does not place a paid order.
Direct checkout is planned through Stripe Managed Payments, presented as “Sold through Link”. The merchant of record is the Link entity identified at checkout and in your order confirmation. Its payment and purchase conditions apply alongside our product and licence terms. Review the Link Consumer Terms, including the Sold through Link and Purchase Terms. We remain responsible for the Ageborne product, key delivery and product support.
Complete the payment only after checking the final order details. The payment button identifies the obligation to pay, and the checkout merchant provides the order confirmation. Pending or rejected payments do not establish a right to an activation key. Card details are entered on Stripe’s checkout and are not stored by our website.
4. Price and currency
The planned base price is CHF 25 for a one-time purchase of one Ageborne activation key, including applicable tax. The binding total, currency and tax information are displayed before payment. Where available, Link offers a local-currency amount at the exchange rate disclosed in checkout. Check that total before paying. Your bank or payment provider may apply its own currency or transaction charges.
A one-time Ageborne key purchase does not include a subscription or automatic recurring payment. A later price change does not change an order already agreed.
5. Activation keys and delivery
Each direct order supplies one key for the platform you select: Steam or Epic Games Store, subject to the availability shown before purchase. It does not include a second key for the other platform. Review the platform and any region restrictions before paying. An already redeemed key cannot be used again to activate another account.
The key is made available digitally on the private purchase page after successful payment has been confirmed. Payment methods that take longer to confirm can delay delivery. Your Ageborne confirmation includes the order reference, key, accepted terms and a private purchase link. Emailed links are valid for seven days; you can request a new link with your order reference and checkout email. Keep your order confirmation and private purchase-page address; anyone who has that address may be able to view your key. If delivery fails, the key does not work or you lose access to your purchase page, contact us with your order reference. Do not post your key or private address publicly.
Activation and access to the selected store require an eligible account under that store’s rules. See the Steam Subscriber Agreement or Epic Games Terms of Service. We do not receive your Steam or Epic password. Store restrictions do not remove remedies for an unusable key or a product that does not match what was agreed.
6. Your game licence
With a lawful Ageborne purchase, we grant you a non-exclusive licence to install and play the purchased edition for personal use through the selected platform, subject to the agreed product description, these terms and applicable store terms. The licence is for the game; it does not transfer ownership of its code, artwork, music or other intellectual property.
Do not unlawfully copy, redistribute or sell the game, bypass licence controls, access another person’s systems without permission or disrupt the website or other players’ sessions. Uses, transfers and exceptions permitted by applicable law remain unaffected.
If an order is cancelled, fully refunded or established to be fraudulent, the corresponding entitlement may be withdrawn only as permitted by applicable law and store rules. A new version of these terms does not by itself terminate a licence you lawfully acquired.
7. Support, faults and refunds
For game, activation or delivery problems, contact info@ageborne.com with your order reference and a description of the issue. For a Sold through Link payment or refund request, you can also use Link’s order support and review its refund policy. Any more favourable applicable Link refund protection remains available.
Your statutory remedies for non-delivery, an unusable key or digital content that does not conform to the contract are preserved. Depending on applicable law, these can include putting the product right, a price reduction or ending the contract and obtaining a refund. Required updates, including relevant security updates, are not excluded. A development or early-access label does not waive these rights.
These terms do not promise an additional unconditional change-of-mind refund period. Applicable withdrawal rights, mandatory remedies and any refund policy expressly offered with the order still apply. A partial refund does not automatically end the whole licence.
8. Consumer withdrawal rights
For EU/EEA consumers, where applicable law grants a withdrawal right for a paid distance contract for digital content, you may withdraw without giving a reason within 14 days from conclusion of the contract, unless a valid legal exception applies. Other mandatory consumer protections in your country remain available.
For digital content supplied without a physical medium, loss of that withdrawal right requires supply to have begun after your prior express consent to immediate supply during the withdrawal period, your acknowledgement that you will lose the right, and the required confirmation on a durable medium. Accepting these general terms or receiving a key does not by itself establish all those conditions. If they have not been met, your applicable withdrawal right remains.
To withdraw, send a clear statement to the seller identified in your order confirmation. You can also send it to us at info@ageborne.com or the postal address in section 1 for forwarding to the checkout merchant where appropriate. Sending your notice before the applicable period expires is sufficient. You may use the form below, but you are not required to do so. For a valid withdrawal, the responsible merchant reimburses the amounts due without undue delay and within the applicable legal period, normally 14 days after being informed, using the original payment method unless otherwise expressly agreed, without a reimbursement fee.
Model withdrawal notice
To the seller named in my order confirmation, or WAIO Frei Applications, Hüttisbühl 2771, 9642 Ebnat-Kappel, Switzerland, info@ageborne.com, for forwarding where appropriate:
I hereby give notice that I withdraw from my contract for the supply of the following digital content: Ageborne.

Swiss law generally does not provide an automatic change-of-mind withdrawal right for online purchases. This does not restrict applicable Link refund protection, mandatory rights for defective products or any additional refund right expressly granted with your order.
9. Updates and availability
We may improve the game and change the website during development. The features and quality agreed for a purchased edition, and updates required by law, remain protected. A future roadmap does not promise indefinite operation of an optional online feature. We will provide notices and remedies for material changes where the law requires them.
10. Responsibility and mandatory rights
Each party is responsible for its obligations under applicable law. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including relevant liability for intentional misconduct, gross negligence or personal injury, or restricts mandatory consumer remedies. Store or payment-provider involvement does not remove our legal responsibility for the Ageborne product.
11. Personal data
Our privacy policy explains website, order and support processing. The checkout merchant and selected game store process data under their own privacy policies. Keep account credentials, activation keys and private receipt links confidential.
12. Applicable law and versions
Our website and game-licence relationship is governed by Swiss law, subject to any mandatory consumer protections available under the law that applies to you. The checkout merchant’s purchase terms govern its part of the transaction. Nothing here requires a consumer to give up a legally protected court or complaint process.
The version made available and accepted when an order is placed applies to that order. Later changes will be dated and do not retroactively remove acquired rights. If a provision cannot legally apply, the applicable legal rule takes its place and the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
